05 Dec 2022 - 06 Dec 2022, School of Economics and Business, University of Chile
Dear Academic Community,
The School of Business and Economics of the University of Chile (with the support of the Central Bank of Chile) is proud to be organizing the 2022 edition of the Santiago Finance Workshop (SFW), which will be held on December 5–6, 2022 in Santiago, Chile. We invite scholars and researchers to submit papers on any topic belonging to the fields of Finance or Financial Economics by July 31st, 2022.
We are delighted to announce that our keynote speaker will be Prof. John Campbell, the Morton L. and Carole, S. Olshan Professor of Economics at Harvard University.
The University of Chile is one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America, and the aim of its workshop is to bring together academics and policymakers from all around the world to discuss new empirical and theoretical research on financial issues.
The sixth previous editions of the workshop took place between 2015 and 2021 (the SFW 2020 was cancelled due to the global pandemic) and sparked stimulating discussions and welcomed outstanding keynote speakers, including Prof. Ron Kaniel, Prof. Itay Goldstein, Prof. Toni M. Whited, Prof. Stefan Nagel, Prof. Andrew Karolyi, Prof. Franklin Allen, Prof. Michael Brennan and Prof. Eduardo Schwartz.
The workshop is expected to take place in person in Santiago, Chile, if the sanitary situation allows it.
The SFW’s Organizing Committee will cover presenters’ airfares (economy class) to Santiago, as well as their accommodation costs during the workshop. Participants will be expected to stay for the entire duration of the conference. Nonetheless, should it be required due to the pandemic, the SFW may follow a hybrid format this year and take place both online and in Santiago.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Authors interested in having their papers considered for the SWF 2022 should submit a complete manuscript to email@example.com by July 31st, 2022 (GMT-4) with the subject: “Submission to SFW 2022”. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by August 15th, 2022.
